Swank/Grant/Salmon

Hello...I'm from Ireland and researching my American family branch, my great aunt in particular. Her name is Catherine/Kate Grant b. 1879 Tipperary, Ireland to Patrick Grant and Johanna Grady.

She immigrated to America in 1899 and I have her on the 1900 USA Census in Philadelphia Almhouse Hopsital on June 7th, and three days later she gave birth to her son, Charles Swank Grant 10 June 1900. His father being Charles Swank who was a mill hand. From records that were looked up for me, it was shown between 1885 - 1915, there were no marriages for a Swank/Grant - so Charles Jnr was illegitimate.

Charles Jnr was brought to Ireland in 1906 to live with his grandparents until near the end on 1911, when his mother came to Ireland for him. Catherine/Kate in 1909 married William A Salmon in Philadelphia. She was a laundress, he a chauffer. She is down as Catherine Swank however on the marriage index. They are on the 1910 in Philadelphia and I believe on the New York State Census in 1915.

Charles Jnr on the 1911 Immigration record is now known as Charles Salmon. What I am trying to find is the family after 1910, and also any children born to Catherine Swank and William A Salmon...or anyone related to that family.

Any help would be much appreciated, and I can be contacted on ammo_d@hotmail.com

Cheers,

Annie
