Dear Patricia,

My hopes are dashed! I know for a fact that my Susan (Cook) & Joseph Wallin are in England, Kensington in the 1841 Census and that Susan and her children sailed for NY and arrived in NY Aug. 1845!

I have seen this Susan Welch name before, but not in England, so she must have married here in 1833, what a coincidence, since my Susannah/Susan Cook married Joseph Wallin Nov. 19, 1833 in Keyham, Leicester, England. :-((

But, I found my grandfather, so all is NOT lost. I will just keep searching for my Joseph Wallin b. ca 1811 and Susannah/Susan Cook b. ca 1811 +/- years.....

You have gone above and beyond. I have not kept up with you! Darn work keeps me from my hobby/love of history!

I wonder if this Susan Welch Wallin was really telling the truth to the pension folks, many lied???

What a scoundrel her Joseph Wallin was...mine just sent his children out to work.

Well, that ends my PA research, but what a treasure it brought me!

Thank you, so much for your help.

Sincerely,
Marilyn LeVeque
