Hello Listers,

I have FINALLY found a Susan Wallin born ca 1806 connected to another Wallin family here in the States in 1870 & 1880 Census, but again, no one else is researching this line to my knowledge.

I found a Susan Wallin living with her in-laws of:

John CAMPION b. ca 1801 in Hinckley, Leicestershire who married an ELIZABETH T. WALLIN b. ca 1801-02 POB England.

Susan Wallin is listed as widowed in 1870 & 1880 Census, so she must have been married to her sister-in-law, Elizabeth Wallin CAMPION's brother, PERHAPS JOSEPH WALLIN b. ca 1808 in Leicester we presume, since he and Susannah Cook were married there on Nov. 19, 1833 in Keyham.

I am interested if anyone out there knows of JOHN CAMPION and ELIZABETH T. WALLIN and who HER parents/siblings might be:

Letter of 1870
John and Thomas Campion were the two oldest sons of William and Frances Flora Campion. John and Thomas were born in Hinckley, Leicestershire, England and emigrated with the rest of the family to the United States in the early 1800s. They settled in Germantown, Pennsylvania, and remained there apparently the rest of their lives, while their other siblings
eventually went west to Pittsburgh; Canfield, Ohio; Harrison County, Iowa; and New Jersey. Their sister, Mary Campion Winfield, lived in Canfield and
Hubbard, Ohio.

Hoping someone out there will know of this CAMPION and Wallin family who left England for USA <1850.

Here is the complete census 1880 for John Campion and his brother's family:
