There has been some recent activity gearing towards the possibility of preserving an old beautiful sandstone church in Miller Twp., Perry Co., PA.. The name of this church is the Mahanoy Union Chapel.

There will be a meeting, hosted by The Perry Historians, held on Sunday,April 10, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Harry Lenig Library (home of The Perry Historians) to discuss the fate of the Mahanoy Union Chapel and to possibly organize a group or committee to follow through with any decisions made at this meeting.

If you'd like to attend this gathering, the Harry Lenig Library is located on the right hand side of Rte. 34 North, about 2 miles from the square in New Bloomfield, Perry Co., PA. ... or ... the Library is located on the left hand side of Rte. 34 South, about 4 miles from Newport.
