COUCH. Family tradition says my 4th gr grandfather, John Couch, was born c1750 +/ in Bucks or Berks County PA. He married Mary Elizabeth Boon(e), and was first found in Botetourt County VA in 1770. From there he evidently moved to Wilkes County NC. I am one of many of their descendants searching for the parents of John. As of now, John appears to have dropped in from outer space, as did his wife Mary. So, when I heard of the town in Perry County PA, with the Couch name attached, I felt the need to check out the origin of the name and/or any Couch families who might have lived there in years past - especially during latter three quarters of the 18th century. Thank you for any help, or suggestions, you might be able to give.
For our Couch family research,
Joyce House-Reees
Oklahoma City
