I don't think Danville was ever called Selinsgrove. I know that it was Danville all the way back to at leasgt 1880. There is another state hospital north of Danville which is located on the Susquannhana (sic) River. I'm pretty sure it's no longer open, but I'm not positive. Check out the Pennsylvania Archives online site for more info and good luck.
