Dippery Family

Hello All,
I am searching for any and all information on the Dippery family from Lewistown and surrounding area. I have information on a John M. Dippery (also spelled Dippary). John served in the Civil War. I do believe that John's Father's name was George Dippery, but I have very little info on him and no info on any Dipperys before him. I found a record at the PA State library that showed George being born in Mifflin County in 1799, but that is all I can find. If anyone can provide any info on this family I would greatly appreciate it. I have been working on my family history for over three years and this is where I have been stuck for quite some time. Any help, no matter how small, would be most appreciated! Thank you.
