Dear Sue, I read the previous followup, and I am just
wondering which Henry Taylor Sr. you are referring to.
You said a Robert McNitt married Jane Taylor, daughter of
Henry Taylor Sr. I have been looking for our Henry Taylor
that had land in Hampshire Co., W.Va, for about 10 years
(in the 1790"s)and then moved to Washington Co., Ohio.
I found Robert Taylor's family in Dauphin Co., Pa., and
according to the census reports, some of his family moved
to Mifflin and Juniata Cos. Pa. Robert Taylor died previous
to 1762. I assume his son Robert is the one who went to
Mifflin Co. Son Robert's brothers were Henry, John, Matthew, and William. Maybe you could clarify some of
the Henry's. Also after the Robert Taylor Sr., died prev.
to 1762, his widow married Charles McCormick in Dauphin Co.
Pa. Maybe you could clarify the Henry Taylors. Thanks
so much. Jeannette(Taylor) Clark.
