FHCs and state libraries/archives for probate/deeds.Looks like his parents died before 1850. Always a possibility father died, and mom remarried.
Columbia Co wasn't formed until 1813 from Northumberland Co, so for research purposes Tilman/Tilghman was not b Columbia Co.
[FOX] 1840, 40-50;1830 20-30,listed as Fillman FAB.There are no other FAUX etal families near him. 1820 quite a few FOX men in Columbia Co.It appears this is how FAUX is pronounced...I thought maybe it might have been FOE.
