Mary, I just read your question regarding the train trip your family took from Scranton, PA to Kansas City, MO (posted June 24 2013). My husband is a train buff and will research it for you. He has an Official Train Guide from 1962, and also is aware of changes in the railroads at that time. This will take several days since he has a number of projects, but I will try to report back within the week.
