Joseph and Anna (Longo) Bruno from Indiana Co., PA to Niagara Falls, NY
Hi, I'm searching for info. on Joseph Bruno who married Anna Longo in or near Indiana Co., PA in the early 1900s. They moved to NF, NY in 1925. They had, to my knowledge 12 kids together, 10 of whom survived into adulthood. The first born son was John (born 17 May 1904 in PA), and there may have been two sons James and Robert who died in childhood. There was a second son named James who survived into adulthood. The four daughters were Rose Linza, Victoria Alphonse, Flora and Bertha Bruno, who never married. All lived in either NF or Buffalo, NY. I obtained Joseph's death certificate from NF City Hall. He was born in Italy on 3 March 1869 and died on 8 March 1941 in NF, NY of a surprise heart attack. His parents were listed as John Bruno and Mary Magniuni (exactly as it appears). Joseph's oldest son John was listed as Eugenio in the 1910 census, then Jennio in the 1920 census, then Jay in the 1925 NY State census, then John in the 1930 census. John was the informant on the death certificate and was probably told that he was named for his "Nonno" or grandfather, as was the custom for Italians and other countries such as Ireland. My theory is that Joseph's father may have been Eugenio. As for his mother, her maiden name may have been either Magnani or Mangione. I would like to know the names of Joseph's parents and if possible, siblings, and also where in Italy they came from. Any help greatly appreciated.
