Hi,
Hope you haven't given up your search. I believe part of the confusion in Robert's family is that his father appears to have remarried in 1876 to Maria Hull. I'm still looking into the 1870 Census with Delilah - not sure how that fits in, but Maria Hull was said to be the second wife. I think Harry Vincent Miller is her son, but Robert and the older children are Mary's.
Solomon Isaac Miller (Sep 1837 - unknown - was still living in Dec of 1910 when his older sister died) is the younger brother of my 3rd great grandfather, Daniel Henry Miller (1825-1900). Solomon is also listed as S.I. Miller at times, including in Daniel's obit.
Solomon & Daniel were sons of William & Mary Magdalena Miller (16 Aug 1803-5 Oct 1878). The elder Mary Miller you mentioned should be the Solomon's mother. William Miller was a blacksmith. Their children were: Daniel, John, Jacob, Samuel, Elizabeth (married to Daniel Mock), Solomon, and James.
Please contact me. Would love to compare notes.
