Trying to get GGParents back to Ireland
Keron HOREY, son of Edward HOREY and Catherine QUINN and Anna MOONEY HOREY. Keron and Anna were my GGParents and lived in Clearfield Pa from 1880 until their deaths. It's possible Keron, and by then his wife Anna, came to Clearfield in 1880 for Keron to run the engine at the tannery. This information from the Clearfield Progress newspaper. Also I have a copy of a naturalization letter for Keron HARCY(?)Sept. 8, 1880 from the Court of Common Pleas, Warren County. Other than he was under 18 when arriving and from Ireland that is all the information I have. I and another family memberhave been up against this block for a couple years. Another article from the Paper about a fire mentions a "Terrible Tim HOREY late of the Dublin Fire Department which would be our only assumption they were from Dublin. They were from the Area now known as The Irish Free State. Any suggestions, information or help will be gratefully accepted. And please accept thanks in advance. Sorry for the length of this post.
