Funeral services for Margaret Wallace, 67, of Felton were held Saturday, Sept. 17, in Barratt’s Chapel, near Frederica. Mrs. Wallace died after a courageous battle with brain cancer Sunday, Sept. 11, 2005, in Hillside Center, Wilmington.
Mrs. Wallace was born July 12, 1938, in Philadelphia, and raised in Neshaminy Falls, Pa., daughter of the late David and Olive Saylor Dolbow.
She lived in Delaware most of her life and worked for Kraft Foods in Dover for 30 years.
Mrs. Wallace enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren after retirement. A wonderful mother, she always gave her children love and support. Everyone who came in contact with her will miss her greatly.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Wallace; an infant son, John Fitzcharles; a stepson, John Wallace Jr.; five brothers, George Dolbow, Morris Dolbow, Cloyd Dolbow, Robert Dolbow and Ernie Dolbow; a sister, Olive Harris; two stepbrothers, David Dolbow and Orrin Dolbow; and a stepsister, Sandy Everett.
She is survived by six children and the spouses of four, Delores and Albert Dill, Robert Fitzcharles, Mary and Kim “Zeke” Zeller, Howard and Sandy Fitzcharles, James and Sarah Fitzcharles, and Anthony Fitzcharles; three stepdaughters and two stepsons-in-law, Marianna and Mike Brennan, Faith Salter, and Beth and Robert Addonizio; two sisters, Martina Wallace and Ethel “Gladys” Morgan; a brother, Norman Dolbow; stepsisters, Dorothy Dolbow, Elaine Dunn and Nancy Overmeyer; and her ex-husband, Robert Fitzcharles Sr.
Contributions may also be made to The American Red Cross, Katrina Fund or The American Cancer Society.
Interment was in the Barratt’s Chapel Cemetery.
Arrangements were by Matthew Genereux Funeral Directors, Wilmington.
What more do you know about Olive? I may have her 1900/10 census, Lakawanna PA, but I don't have anything else to go on except her b/date.
