Dear Cindy,

Some copies of the Somerset Herald newspaper are found at http://www.loc.gov/chroniclingamerica

In that newspaper's March 17, 1897 issue on image 5 is an account of the Somerset County Poor House for the previous year. On April 24, 1896, Eliza BROWN was admitted as were Arthur, Albert, Lena, Elmira and Tristie BROWN. This list also gives discharge dates and ages. Daniel was not admitted.

I found that article by searching in the newspaper for "Lena Brown".

Enjoy,
Karen
