Some gleanings I am unable to use. Thomas Craig, Rev War soldier w Maryland Line 2 terms of service 1776-1783. M possibly 2nd Elizabeth Fleming in Westmoreland Co, Pa 9 Nov 1786. Dates put birth c 1753. He was in Ohio in 1818, applied for Rev Pension for service w/ Col Rawlings (Rollins) Reg. says he is 65 yr. Capt Davis Co. Later in Capt Spurriers Co. Prisoner in Fort Washington x9m. Discharged at Pittsburgh as a Sgt; obtained land grant in Ohio. ? Warrant No 1187 issued Ohio Aub 24, 1826. Unable to write as he makes his mark as does his wife. On declaration of need he gives property value of $90 all in animals. His children are "orphaned out" as he is unable to provide for them, Daniel 15, John 11, Fleming 9 yr, Meeper? (maybe Meyer) 7 yr, a dtr unnamed a 13. He resides in Jackson Co Ohio. Pension granted ?15 May 1819.
Elizabeth was to receive a pension but --Morris who she entrusted the
papers to obtain her money absconded; many letters in files regarding her efforts to receive her pension. At time of application living w/her son Thomas Craig 20 May 1839.
Resident of Hamilton Township of Jackson aged 68 yr.
Later noted in Morgan CO, Ohio, (?same county, new county created). 1844 aged 73 yrs and living in OHIO for 30 yr.
Family letter in Mil files from desc. saying he came to colonies from Scotland bef Rev w/5 brothers and settled in Virginia.
