(Page 5 of 5)Guido Anthony Volante Sr., a retired draftsman for a Philadelphia construction firm, died Monday. He was 78 and lived in Clifton Heights, Delaware County.

Volante was employed by the Catalytic Construction Co. for 20 years, retiring in 1981. He previously had worked for Scott Paper Co.

He was a lifelong member of the Clifton Heights Fire Company and in the 1970s had been a Clifton Heights Borough councilman.

Survivors include two sons, Guido A. Jr. and William J.; four daughters, Kathryn M. Volante, E. Susan DePompeo, Sharon E. Baker and Cristina M. Freeman, 16 grandchildren and a sister, Florence Webb.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. tomorrow at Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, Springfield Road and Bishop Avenue, Springfield. Burial will be in Ss. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Sproul and Crum Creek roads, Marple Township, Delaware County. There will be no calling hours.

Contributions may be made to the Clifton Heights Fire Company Truck Fund, Clifton Heights Fire Company, Clifton Heights, Pa. 19018.
