((Looking for the parents of Joseph William Griffiths. Birth 1869-08-21 in Allentown, Lehigh, Pennsylvania, USA.
Death 1940-03-26 in Newcastle, Weston, Wyoming,USA. Burial Mount Hope Cemetery, Valentine, Cherry, Nebraska, USA.

Married: 1889-8-7 to ANNA MARY MCPHERSON in Osceola, Polk, Nebraska,USA.

At the time of the 1870 census Joseph W. Griffiths was living in the household of Joseph Allott and Lavinia Mildren in Sugar Creek, Armstrong, Pennsylvania, United States. Lavinia's older brother, Richard L. Mildren, and his wife lived next door. Neither couple had children of their own. On the other side of the Allott household lived Joseph's father or uncle, William Allott, and his family.

Joseph was listed as a nephew to Joseph and Lavinia Allott in the 1880 census in Sugar Creek, Armstrong, Pennsylvania, United States.

After Joseph Allott's death Lavinia married James B. Morrison. James B. is listed in the 1890 NEBRASKA STATE GAZETTEER FARMERS DIRECTORY in Butler County.

Lavinia Mildren, christened at Carnespesack 20 November 1825. In the Will of Richard L. Mildren is an item that may relate to this Lavinia Mildren that states, "I give to Mrs. Lavinia Allott, now intermarried to James Morrison, twenty-five dollars that I have paid as attorney fees for her and her former husband Joseph Allott, decd." Followed by, "I give to the heirs of James Morrison (namely) Whitford Morrison the sum of two dollars and Anna now intermarried to Mr. Crohankow (sp?) the sum of two dollars."
