I have the following obituary but what I need is the newspaper account of the death. It should be archived, as it was a murder-suicide. Mr. King first killed his young wife, Angie, with a shotgun, then put the shotgun in his own mouth. Here is the obit:
RONALD F. KING, 73 of Towanda formerly of Elmira, N.Y. died Sunday, Dec. 1, 2002 in Towanda. Born May 29, 1929 in Williamsport, Pa. he was a son of the late Clyde L. King and Margaret Fleming King. Ronald was a veteran of the Korean War having served in the U.S. Navy. He was employed by Corning Glass in Corning, N.Y. for over 25 years until his retirement. Mr. King served as a crossing guard for the Elmira School District for many years. Surviving are; his children, Ronald Jr. of Wyoming, Robin of Mountville, Pa., Richie of Scott, N.Y., Rodger of Lowman, N.Y., Debbie of Wyoming and Rhonda, Pam and Carolyn all of Florida; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a sister Margaret Hess of Williamsport, Pa. He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles and a sister, Elaine. A memorial service will be held Friday, Dec. 6, 2002 at 1 p.m. at the Elmira Christian Center, Miller Street, Elmira, N.Y. with the Rev. John Bedzyk officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Maryott-Bowen Funeral Home, Towanda. There are no calling hours. –Towanda Daily Review
