ARMAN/ARMON family in NC/PA/IL
I am researching the ARMAN/ARMON family. The exact spelling seems to have not been important to them; my great-grandfather used Arman and his brother used Armon.
What I am trying to find out:
Wife of Thomas 2 Arman (b 1797)
Father of Thomas 3 Arman (b 1811)
Thomas 1 ARMAN was b about 1758 in Rutherford, NC. He served in the Revolutionary War. He married Charity Dowlin (1759-1845), bond date 29 Jan 1790 in Surry Co., NC. The bondsman was John McBride (very appropriate!).
Thomas and Charity settled in St. Francois County, MO, about 1812.
He died 12 Aug 1833. Charity’s applied for and was awarded a widow’s pension in 1835.
Children of Thomas and Charity Arman were:
Mary Arman (1793-1861)
Nancy Arman (1794-1865)
Henry Arman (1795- )
Thomas 2 Armon (1797- )
Elizabeth Armon (1800- )
My connection of these generations is shaky:
Thomas 2 ARMAN b 1797 Pulaski County, KY
Wife’s name unknown. Moved to Kansas by 1863.
Thomas 3 ARMAN b. 1811 Kentucky, m. Nancy Reynolds, b 1811 OH, dau. of Philip Reynolds.
Children of Thomas 3 Arman:
Philip b. 1838 IL
George Washington Arman b 1841 in Missouri Territory, died 1820 in Garland County, AR; m Rosella Jane Hallam Hester, b 1842 PA, d 1888, Hot Springs, AR.
In my shoebox I also have:

John P ARMON, Free White Male 20-29, b 1801-1810;
1 Free White Female 20-29;

This might have been a brother of Thomas 3, who had a son Philip. My grandfather, a son of G.W. Arman, was John Phillip.
