If I have the right couple from the 1900 census Rosanna immigrated in 1855. Thomas Ward seems to have been widowed by the 1910 census. If she died before Jan 1, 1906 her death was probably recorded at Register of Wills office for Allegheny County. If she died after that date her death certificate would be with the PA Div. of Vital Records. I suggest trying the Historical Society of Western Pennsylvania and the Western Pennsylvania Genealogical Society to see if they can find a obit or death notice for her. They may also be able to find a burial place for her.

I don't know if getting William's service record from the National Archives will tell you much but you never know.
