Many have thought that Jeremiah's wife was Manesa "Sallie", however her gravesite says only Manesa. She died in 1874.
The 1880 census finds in Shoemakersville, PA husband Jeremiah and wife Sallie. It appears that he had taken a second wife.
I have been searching all over the internet trying to find information on Sallie Reber. I have had no luck. Sometimes Sallie was a nickname for Sarah - It also could have been a middle name. If only we could find the marriage record and her death record. She is not buried with Jeremiah. Most marriages take place in the bride's home town. We would need to know her maiden name. Maybe she was buried with her family in a nearby community. I don't know where to begin? This will be a challenge.Can any of you help?
