Information about Col. Samuel Watson's descendants would be greatly appreciated. Col. Watson relocated to SC around 1758 and married shortly thereafter. Wife Elizabeth McDowell. Did one or more of their sons make their way back to PA and then father a son William?
My GG grandfather John Charles Watson was born 1830 in KY. Census records show his father was born in PA around 1790-1800. Presbyterian naming convention would make JC's father William and his mother Catherine.
