Krajnik, Kosko, Sakac, Mudrak, Saxton and Draper
I have noted answers to people in the Slovak Republic Genforum web site.
Jean and I just returned from a quick trip to Los Angeles. We went to visit the niece of Jean's grandmother [Maria Mudrak/Sakac/Sakatch]Bertha Saxton [92 years old] was born in Lethbridge, but her mother [Anna Mudrak] and her father [Joseph Kosko] moved to Ohio when she was 3 years old.The family then moved to California.
While in Los Angeles we did learn that there was another Mudrak who arrived through Elis Island in 1924 Marta, probably named Martha.
Joseph Kosko grandfather to Charmaine Draper was born on 2/27/1887 and died on 8/28/54.and grandmother, Ana, died on March 7, 1969 in Los Angeles.
Social Security match was obtained on Martha Mudrak which shows her birth as 11/20/1895 and death of 9/14/88.I obtained this through the Social Security genealogy index.
We believe that Matha did arrive in Bitumus PA and that she married a Krajnik.
Bertha had one child, Charmaine Draper and we were able to get some names and addresses of the Krajnik descendants.
Ann Krajnik at 3509 East Ave., Erie PA16504.
We did see a name of a Andrew Krajnikand then a labelled picture that had Michael and Karen Krajnik taken in 1990 with 3 children Michael IV, age 12, Amy aged 10 and Sarah age 5. and we think this is or was an address: 9781 Williams Road North East PA 16428. and another address 969 Bonnie Brae Erie PA 16511.Charmaine has written letters to these addresses but has as yet not received any replys.
We also saw a picture of a grave headstone for George Krajnik1921 - 1996 Cpl in US Army WWII. and another headstone with Andrew Krajnik 1927 - 1970.
Comments by Charmaine Draper."We did not receive a letter this year from Ann Krajnik, daughter of Martha Mudrak in Pennsylvania. This week I sent a letter to her last known address and will wait to see if I get a reply.I sent my e-mail address and asked her to respond. If she is no longer alive, the mail will probably be returned or responded to by one of her children.I will let you know the outcome.I think I may have an old address on her son."
I will post these questions on both the Ohio and PA and California genforum .Is it as hot in your part of the country as we went through from Vegus to LA?Baker California was the hottest at 108 degrees.[42 degrees C].I hope with your detective skills, you might be able to shed some light, or find some way that we might contact them.If needs be, my wife said that we might drive to Clevland and parts of PA.
