Jerry,
I re-read your note about looking for a Lewis C. Walters, and while it is a long shot, I thought I'd through it your way.I've been digging through Luzerne County census records for my WALTERS (Charles m. Sarah MORRIS, came over from England in 1861).I came across a 1900 Tanaqua Borough, Schuylkill Co. census record for an
Edwin Walters, head, b. July 1842, age 57, married to Harriet b. Aug 1844, age 55,
son [possibly] Lewis, b. ?month 1864, age 35, and
son Edward, b. Aug 1868, age 31.
I say [possibly] for Lewis, because the writing on his line is especially hard to read.If this sounds like it may be your guy, let me know and I will try to save the image from my on-line data source and e-mail it to you so you can see it for yourself.Never give up!
