My 4th Great Grandfather, Matthew Brown, arrived in New Castle Delaware Dec. 13 1773 from Ireland, and settled in Franklin Co. PA.. The grandfather of this Matthew, also named Matthew Brown, was a Captain in the Derry Regiment which fought at the Battle of Bothwell Bridge(1678), The Siege of Londonderry (1688/89) and The Battle of the Boyne (1690). A sword passed down in the family is inscribed XVI, R.T., Co. F.

I am looking for descendants/ancestors of Capt. Matthew Brown. Grandson Matthew had children: David;m John; Andrew; Samuel; Mary.
