In looking for my GRIERS in Scranton area I have come across lots of Jones, but I kept nothing specific. Strangely my Ggrandfather's name is Samuel Jones Grier, born 1859 in Scranton.I cannot figure where the Jones came from. I suspect it is his mothers maiden name.A sister also has the middle name Jones. I have a John Grier mrd to Katherine(Jones?)abt 1842.Kate was born abt 1817.Have you found any Griers with your Joneses??
