Hi Evelyn, I don't think your Mary is my Mary. My Mary was born in PA. Her father John left NJ after the Rev.War with his young family and his brother Johnson and his family. They are in the 1790 census in Westmoreland, PA but moved to western PA in the next 10 years. John settled in Mercer Co. and it seems Johnson settled in Alleghany and/or Butler Cos. If your Mary was born in Upper Freehold, chances are our families are related. There was a Samuel Gravat who was born in NJ in the 1780's who was the son of my John's brother William. My Mary's father was Samuel as well, but a first cousin of the above Samuel. John does have a Rev. War pension, but there is no mention of a Mary. I actually do not know the name of his wife. I haven't found a marriage for them and no else following this line seems to have as well. Happy hunting. Sharon
