Dear Steve,

If you go to http://www.google.com and search for "Jabez Dore" you'll find an obituary for him that was posted to the PA-CARNEGIE list. It was from 1914 and claimed that one sister and two brothers were living at that time.

At http://www.loc.gov/chroniclingamerica I found a couple of 1896 articles about a mine explosion in Newcastle, Colorado in which a boy, Abel DORE, and his brother, Joseph DORE were involved. So maybe the next generation of the family? Another article said three DORE boys were killed.
