Marc, I sure would like to search Mercer Co PA records but am too far away in Oklahoma. My GGF James Henry (James H) Woods was born there in 1820, the 20 year old on its 1840 census, Neshannock TWP. In 1850, however, the James Stone in Lawrence Co Neshanock Twp is not the same one. John Stone lived near him in 1840--I think was his father. I don't have an 1850-or 1860 census record on either James or John. My GGF and wife RoseMary Self "Mary" of TN had a son also named James H. Jr b. IL 1861, and daughter Margaret in 1866, next they are on 1870 census of Hazelwood Twp Webster Co, MO. I feel reasonably certain father of the elder James H. Woods, Sr were living in Allegheny Co, PA before 1800, and in Mercer Co 1800. But I need something besides the 4 Woods there in Mercer from 1800. Got any ideas that may help my further research?
