I am trying to research these men, both lived in Lycomming James from at Least 1837-thru 1844. His oldest daughter was b in 1847 in freeport Ill my direct ancestress. Samuel G was in Lycoming up until 1860's. Best records indicate Samuel G was born 1809 in PA, James born 1811-1817 in Maryland.
Both men moved to Iowa.James lived in Postville then in Frankville. He died sometime after 1870and before 1880. Samuel G was found in Crawford Co Will Twnshp in 1885. James widow Susan was found in neighboring Ida County In Ida Grove Iowa.
James oldest son was named Francis G was born in PA. I bel he may have died in Civil war. I think recall reading somewhere there was a Greene connection with the Craft family and have wondered if this is what the G stands for in Samuel and Francis any help appreciated.
