ok-- question, where would one find the supposedly microfilmed records of the early court of common pleas? A few years ago, on a genealogy trip to Williamsport, I asked at the courthouse if they still had very early court records, and I was told, "No. We got rid of those years ago, we don't have room for that kind of thing." I asked, "Not even on microfilm?" and was again told, "no." Does anyone know where to find them? Or would anyone be willing to check the records they have for the surnames of Toner, Potter, McMicken or Covenhoven from 1775-1860's.
Thank you.
