I'm not related.

The 1900 census of Briar Creek, Columbia County shows Alexander was born Aug 1845. Mary was born Dec 1879, but was 25 and married 13 years (a rather neat trick).

In Pennsylvania marriages are recorded at the Register of Wills office in the county the license was gotten (beginning in 1885). The Recorder of Deeds office in each county naturally deals with property transfers.

Because of the disparity in ages I suspect Mary may have snagged herself a Civil War veteran. It was very common for young women to find these old geezers husband material after the pension laws for Civil War veterans were passed.

Do you know where and when Alexander died?
