Hi Jeff,

First, call me Debbie. The "H" looks better with Deborah.

Glad you got my message. After typing it I noticed the date yours had been posted.

Your line as per my information is

Peter Haas/Catherine Trexler
..Henry Haas/Catherine Breinig
....Isaac Haas/Margaret Mohr
......Isaac S. Haas/Susanna Alspaugh (thanks for the last name)

There is no further mention of Luther (or any source for the info) or the Isaac S. Haas branch because of the move to Montour County.
Of course I haven't seen the original documentation (and there are errors in the history, mostly typo's from doing this by hand I think -- before home computers), but the research for the first four generations looks pretty solid to me. Unfortunately, I do not know what relative has the records at this time. I was visiting a website today which listed the church records available through the Lehigh County Historical Society and I may spend a day there in June when I go to visit relatives to check some of Arthur's sources. (One day there and another at the Mennonite Heritage Center seeing if I can confirm that my paternal grandfather was a "Bean/Biehn", also want to see if I can find some of the cemeteries listed in the history and take some headstone photos -- some people will really consider that an exciting way to spend your vacation...)

I don't know if the Haas Family History is available anywhere. I believe Arthur typed it himself and copied them. I have one because a family member purchased one from him for me in the 1980's. If you are interested and want to pay for copying/mailing and are unable to find a complete copy, I am willing to go to Kinko's and copy the first four generations and other pertinent pages for you. It would be about 60 pages.

I would be interested in seeing the Ahnentafel Report you mention. Also, I would like to add your branch to my tree. I do intend to get as many branches into the computer as possible.

Hope we can come to a definite conclusion in the future. Looking forward to continuing this quest.

Deb
