A Dictionary of Nursing. Oxford University Press. 2008. Encyclopedia.com. 22 Aug. 2009

general paralysis of the insane (GPI) n. a late consequence of syphilitic infection. The symptoms are those of a dementia and spastic weakness of the limbs. Deafness, epilepsy, and dysarthria may occur.

The cemetery I believe is now Sacred Heart Cemetery; Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Parish, 336 N. 4th St., Allentown, takes care of the cemetery. 610-434-5171 or 5172 ext. 15 and the cemetery itself is
201-299 Fullerton Ave
Whitehall, PA 18052-6800
610-434-5171 or 5172 ext. 15

Even if her grave has no tombstone; they should have a burial record and location of burial. If she was buried by a pauper society she will at least have a number marker.

The only way I know of to obtain records is to petition the court.
