Thanks for your letter. In answer to your question regarding a John and Catherine marriage date - at ancestry in a database called Virgina Marriages to 1800 is listed - "John Acre, Catherine Fetherling, Marriage Date 8 Sep 1789, Frederick County, VA." I have no means to access an original of this record. In addition, I have no way of knowing if this is the couple you are searching for.
