Hi, Good to know that someone else is looking at Lowhill Twp. Schmnidts. I wonder if your John-George Schmidt might be the same as the son of Nicholas Schmidt from the Will Abstract below. I also found a Nicolaus Schmidt (probably the same one) in the nearby Jordan Lutheran church. I found no mention of a Johann Georg or Goerge Schmidt in the church records of Lowhill Reformed, Jordan Reformed or Lutheran or the Weisenburg Church. I'd appreciate any info you can share on your Schmidts. E-mail me if you prefer. Thanks.

From Will Abstracts of Northampotn County, PA 1752 - 1802 Closson Press, 1982 (based on John Eyerman):
675       SMITH: Nicholas, Lowhill 23/5/1757 - 11/6/1757 ch John-George X, John-David, Maria-Elisabeth (Makin) Dill-Bauer, Barbara (Mayer), Anna, Lisa Catharina, (Wind). Maria-Margareth w. Jacob Klotz, and John-Goerge Sieger W

Jordan Lutheran Congregation baptisms (William J. Hinke transcription):
Nicolaus Schmidt       David               David Riffel
Margaretha (Nov 18, 1753 - Dec 6, 1753) Anna Maria
