Mine is a collateral line to the Balliets through Magdalena Burghalter (Burkhalter), dau. of my sixth great grandfather, Peter Burkhalter (Sr.) - she married Stephan Balliet b.1753.

Gregg Freese has a wonderful site featuring the Balliet family tree: descendants of Stephan Balliet - 12 generations.
www.familytreemaker.com/users/f/r/e/Gregg--D-Freese/index.html

I haven't been able to locate the address, but there is a site which discusses three branches of the Balliet family: Dakota, PA, and Alsace - associated with the Alleman/Allemong family lines.
There's lots to find on Ancestry.com and if you know specific names and dates: familysearch.com can help.

Good luck.
