According to what several people have posted on Ancestry.com, his parents were George Snavely 1779-1857 and Catherine Weirich 1784-1862. Several sources confirm that his father was George, but I suggest verifying. He is buried in Manheim Fairview Cemetery in Manheim.

I don't think Pennsylvania ever had a House of Burgesses. I think it has always been called the House of Representatives and yes Cyrus did serve.
