This is all the information I have on my grandmother's "Polish" family.
It appears that the family went by the name of Kristinski.
There is a 1900 U.S. Census record indexed on Ancestry.com as Frank “Kristuisky” living in Wayne Township, Lawrence County PA.
Frank was born in Austria/Poland (not Russia) in April 1845. He married Julianna/Julia around 1878, presumably in Austria/Poland. Julia was born in Austria/Poland in December 1863. By 1900 she had given birth to seven (7) children of which four (4) had survived. They had one (1) son living with them in 1900, William, who was born in New York in 1898.
Although my grandmother, Elizabeth "Cristy" (she told me in her last year of life that her given name was "Markeska "Kristinski" spelling not known), told me of two older daughters, one, Catherine, who was married to an Italian man from Pittsburgh,Pa, and another daughter, perhaps Mary, living in New Brighton,Pa.
Catherine Cristy Dennis, her husband, Anthony (Tony) Dennis and a son, Tom are found in the 1920 US census living at 411 Strawberry Alley in Pittsburgh,Pa.
According to the 1900 US census document,Chewton, Lawrence County,Pa: Frank Immigrated to the U.S. in 1890 and Julia in 1897. Frank was employed as a day laborer. He was still listed as an alien.
There are New York passage records for both Frank and Julia.
Julianna “Kristenska” arrived in New York on March 19, 1897 on board the S.S. Spree (see line 22). She was 30 years old and married when she arrived. She was from Galicia and her destination was Yonkers NY.
Francis “Kristniski” arrived in New York on June 25, 1891 on board the S.S. Lahn (see line 153). He was 43 years old and married when he arrived. He was from Austria and headed for the U.S.A. Thanks to Norbert for this data.

It was told to me by my grandmother that her father, Frank took her brother with him and returned to Poland in about 1905-1910 and left his wife and daughters in the US.

I have not been able to confirm this story of find any additional information on my ggrandparents, including their birth places. If anyone can help me, Thank you very much.
