According to Emmert Bittinger, Jacob came to Pennsylvania in 1737 aboard the Charming Nancy, settled in Lancaster County,(now Lebanon County) near my immigrant gfather, Johannes Bauman. He left for Maryland about 1770, He married 1 Varena 2 Barbara 3 Catherine Wine.
About 1778 he moved to Linville Creek, VA, now Broadway,Rockingham County. My Johannes named three sons in his will of 1785, Abraham,Henry and Jacob. Jacob of VA and Johannes might be brothers. Do you trace to Jacob of Linville Creek, VA?
