Greetings Ed Murphy,
Thanks for your reply, but I wasn't able to access the link you provided. I was switched to a subscription page.
Since posting my original inquiry, I have learned a lot more about my Henry Kennedy.
Henry Kennedy and Elizabeth were the parents of the following, all born in Carbondale, PA:
After Elizabeth Walker's death, Henry married Ann Gaul, and they had the following children, also all born in Carbondale, PA:
Sarah Jane, 1858
Henry Kennedy was mustered in as a Private in Company D, 47th Pennsylvania Militia Infantry Regiment on July 3, 1863 and mustered out in August of 1863. He volunteered again and was mustered back in as a Private in Company K, 52nd Pennsylvania Regiment in March of 1864 and was mustered out in July of 1865. You can read about the 47th PA Militia Infantry Regiment and the 52nd Pennsylvania Regiment in Bates' History of the Pennsylvania Volunteers, 1861-1865
I also learned that his older brother Michael (born 1843) served as a Private in Companyh F, 30th PA Militia Infantry Regiment in June-July of 1863, and also served as a Private in Company K, 52nd Pennsylvania Regiment, October 1863-July 1865.
After they were mustered out, the Kennedy brothers eventually moved west and settled with their families in Norfolk, NE.
If of this information connects with your family tree, please let me know.
