Richard T. CUMMINGS d 25 NOv 1999 Clarks Summit, PA
Scranton Times Obituary November 27, 1999 reported that Richard Theodore CUMMINGS 72 of Clark Summit died 25 November. Survived by his wife Jean DOUGHER they were married 47 years. Born in Scranton son of the late Richard Samuel and Elizabeth BURGER CUMMINGS. Graduate of Central High; received associate degree 1978 from University of the State of New York and a paralegal certificate from Penn State. He also received a A. B. in legal studies from Marywood University. Army veteran of WW II served in the Mediterranean Theater with Company C, 313th Engineer Battalion. Worked for the Erie Railroad and successor corporations Erie, Lackawanna and Conrail. Retired in 1980 after 35 years of service.
Surviving are two sons Richard Martin of South Natick, Mass; Robert Francis, Clark Summit; two daughters Mary Jean CUMMINGS BOWER of Miffinsville and Nancy CUMMINGS Clark Summit; brother Robert S. CUMMINGS of Dallas, Texas; a sister Suzanne CUMMINGS of Scranton and 11 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his step mother Blanche ELLIOT. Funeral Albert P. O'Donnell Dunmore; Mass at St. Gregory Clark Green and interment Cathedral Cemetery.
