John George Hartman b 12-25-1830, Wurtenburg (area) Stuttgart (city), Germany, d 7-22-1893, Where ?
Mary Ann Heist Hartman 6-7-1837, Frosty Valley (Near Danville and New Bloomsburg), PA d 9-26-1900 ???Where did she die?

John George Hartman- He was an iron ore assayer and worked at an iron ore mine near New Bloomsburg PA where he met and married his wife. Later they moved to Scranton where he worked as a professional bandmaster and composer for all musical instruments in the 13th Regiment Armory Band and Pennsylvania National Guard Band in Scranton, PA until he died.- Information by Harold Hartman Sr.

Mary Ann Heist was of Holland (Dutch) descent. Her mother was Priscilla (Finkbeiner) Heist. Her family were from the Finkbeiner Ship and Yatch builders in Holland.- Information by Harold Hartman Sr.
