The 1920 US Census for Jermyn, PA shows the following family (household #80) living on Madison Avenue: Ann Meehan, a 70 year-old widow, who came from Ireland in 1855; MARY E. MEEHAN, her 45 year-old daughter; and PATRICK MEEHAN, her 45 year-old son-in-law. If the ages for Mary and Patrick are correct, this indicates that they were born about 1874-75. Both of them were born in Pennsylvania.
My Meehan family research indicates that Ann Meehan is most likely the widow of Thomas Meehan, whose relationship to my known Meehan line is yet unknown. This then indicates that Mary E. Meehan had the following brothers: John; Robert; James; and William.
My research also indicates that Patrick Meehan, husband of Mary E., is most likely the son of John Meehan and Bridget Wynne, or of Charles Meehan and Bridget Burdish. John and Charles are brothers of my great grandfather Daniel Meehan, who was also living on Madison Avenue in Jermyn with his family (household #74 in the 1920 Census). Further, both John and Charles had sons named Patrick born about 1874-75.
I would like to hear from any descendants of Patrick and Mary E. Meehan, or anyone else familiar with that family to explore the possibility of a relationship with my Meehans.
