Howells and Davies

I am seeking to extend my family search from PA to Wales.
I have this information and was wondering if anyone can help me trace these lines as far as when they left Wales for America in the 1800s. By the 1880 census, these people were living in Lackawanna Co.

William G. Howells and his wife Dianna. Their children: Lilly, Edith, and Olwin. The adults were all from Wales; the children were all born in PA. William's widowed mother Lida lived with them in PA in 1880. They lived in what seems to be some type of boarding house run by a Maggie Curtis, who is listed as the head of the household.

The other line is Edward Davis [Davies] and his wife Elizabeth. Their children: Edward, John, Isaac, Evan. They lived in Scranton in 1880. The adults were born in Wales (Carmarthenshire, I believe); the boys in PA. I believe that the adults immigrated in May of 1870.

Any help with these lines would be appreciated as I try to make our family's history more accurate.
