Think I have corresponded with you before regarding a Stevens/Yeager connection. In any case I've found a few more tidbits that I think might interest you.
1880 Census for Scranton, Lackawanna Co. PA:
Eugene Stephens W M 27 Self Married Laborer PA
Father born in PA Mother born in Mass
Minnie Stephens W F 22 Wife Married KeepHouse PA
Father born in PA Mother born in NJ
Francis Stephens W M 1 Son Single PA
Father born in PA Mother born in PA
1860 Census for Luzerne Co.(Elmhurst/Moscow area)
Joseph M. Stevens
Sarah W. Stevens
Elnora Stevens (became wife of John A. Yeager)
Sarah E. Stevens (became wife of Jeremiah (Jerry) Burdick)
Ezra J. Stevens
(Sorry but I don't have a copy of actual census in front of me for ages but they do correspond)
I've have seen the Stevens surname spelled both ways in this particular area. Also remember that the northern part of Luzerne Co. became Lackawanna Co. in 1878 or so.
I think this explains both of our connections to the Yeager family. Sarah E. Stevens is my gggrandmother!
