Carole,
The Dunmore part of Scranton is also a large Welch area. We have a Griffiths in our line. There were a bunch of Griffiths in the Scranton area. Ancestry.com has a lot of them if you are a member. Our Griffiths was Hannah who married Thomas Longmore. There was also a Fred Griffiths but have not found any information on him. Hannah was from Dudley England and came to the USA in 1870.
