One site at Rootsweb lists an "Unknown" HERTZLER married Mary Katherine SULOFF b: 22 AUG 1865 in Mifflin, Juniata Co., PA.

Another site lists:

Mary Katherine/Catherine/Catharine SULOFF/SULOUFF was born on 22 AUG 1865 or 1864 in Mifflin, Juniata Co., PA. She died on 24 MAR 1940. She was buried in 1940 in Westminister Presbyterian Cem., Mifflintown, Juniata Co., PA. She was also known as Maude C. There is some confusion as to whether this is the daughter of David Kepner SULOUFF or Henry Groninger SULOUFF/SULOFF. Mother: Hannah Jane GRONINGER.

Spouse: Charles Luck ROWE. Charles Luck ROWE and Mary Katherine/Catherine/Catharine SULOFF/SULOUFF were married on 5 NOV 1888 in Mifflintown, Juniata Co., PA They were married by Rev. Philip GRAEF. Children were: William Luck ROWE, Alva M. ROWE, David Isaiah ROWE.

Noah Hertzler SULOFF/SULOUFF was born on 21 JUL 1869. He died on 22 OCT 1939. Noah designed the Terminal Tower in Cleveland, Ohio. A bronze plaque hangs there honoring him for his design. Parents: David Kepner SULOFF/SULOUFF and Hannah Jane GRONINGER.

Spouse: Grace Arlene LOUDON. Noah Hertzler SULOFF/SULOUFF and Grace Arlene LOUDON were married. Children were: Jack SULOFF, Robert Ross SULOFF.

A copy book written by Solomon K. Beiler, 1798-1888, an Amish bishop who served in the "Middle District" of the Kishacoquillas [Big] Valley, Mifflin County, Pennsylvania.
This copy book belonged to Solomon K. Beiler, Mifflin County, Pennsylvania. It was at one point passed on to a grandson, Amos E. Yoder (1871-1968), Wayne County, Ohio. Yoder's mother was Sarah (Byler) Yoder (1843-1923), the youngest daughter of Solomon K. and Sarah (Hertzler) Beiler.

Sarah Byler married Moses P. Yoder. The copy book came to Harold S. Bender and the Mennonite Historical Library, Goshen, Indiana, in 1961 via a Martin D. Moser, 322 Eat Oak Street, Orrville, Ohio.

The copy book was transferred to the Archives of the Mennonite Church, Goshen, Indiana, in 1992 by John D. Roth.

Christian (Bender) Hertzler, son of Abram and Mary Hertzler, was born in Lancaster, Pa., July 12, 1840; died March 9, 1928. In 1862 he married Susanna Zimmerman. To this union were born 8 children, 4 of whom preceded him. In 1875 his wife departed this life, leaving 4 children, Leah Hershey, Manheim, Pa., Susan Ranck, Mechanicsburg, Pa., Nathaniel Z., Daniel Z., both of Camp Hill, Pa. In 1877 he married Catherine Weber. To this union were born 6 children; Mary at home, Barbara Lauver, Anna Zimmerman, Henry C., all of Mechanicsburg, Abram W., Camp Hill, Pa.; Alice Musser, New Holland, Pa. He departed this life at the age of 87 y. 8 m. 26 d., leaving to mourn his departure 10 children, 22 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. At the age of 11 years he moved with his parents from Lancaster Co., Pa., to Cumberland Co., Pa., on a farm near William's Grove by an old covered wagon, he walking the greater part of the way. Funeral services were conducted March 13, by Bro. Paul Huddle, Churchtown, assisted by John H. Mosemann, Lancaster. Burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery.

John HERTZLER, SR - Died near Port Royal, Juniata Co., Pa., Sept. 5, 1905, author of the "Hertzler Genealogy"; aged 82 Y., 9 M., 28 D. Interment in the Lost Creek Valley Mennonite graveyard. The deceased was widely known in connection with the books he compiled and published, and he was highly esteemed for his many good qualities. Many will miss him as a kind friend. His conversation, drawn from a long and rich experience, was interesting and edifying and his personality and friendship were so attractive that one could not help being drawn to him by strong cords of love. A very large concourse of friends assembled at the funeral, overflowing the Hertzler home into the lawn and under the shade trees where seats were provided. Pastor Moser of the Lutheran church at Port Royal preached the funeral sermon, assisted by Pre. Spangler.

David Plank (1833-1912) was an Amish Mennonite farmer, minister and bishop.
Born on May 15 1833 in Mifflin County, Pennsylvania to Juliana Hertzler and Samuel Plank. February 14, 1856 he married Martha Hartzler; they had 10 children.

Nancy KURTZ, aged 62 years and 10 months, died August 12th 1881, of consumption, in Juniata Co., Pa., Nancy Kurtz, maiden name Hertzler, wife of Jacob Kurtz. She leaves a deeply bereaved husband, one son and one daughter, and many relatives to mourn her departure. Buried at Lost Creek Church.

Noah Z. Yoder was born in Juniata Co., Pa., Nov. 24, 1847; died Oct. 13, 1918, aged 70 y. 10 m. 9 d. His father died when he was but fifteen months old he was reared by his aunt and uncle, Christ Hartzler's of Baltimore, Co., Md. At the age of 24 he was married to Lydia Hertzler. To this union were born 4 children (Anna, Levi, Sarah and Elmer). His wife Lydia died on the 20th of February 1882, in Knox county, Tennesee, aged 30 years, 4 months and 3 days, and he was again married to Mary Waltz, to which union were born 3 children (Cora, John, and Frank). Yoder was called to the ministry in 1895 near Concord, Tenn., where he lived for 32 years. From there he moved to Fairview, Mich., where he spent the remainder of his days. Leaving a sorrowing companion, 6 children, 4 grandchildren, and one brother (S. C. Yoder of Tacoma, Wash.). Three brothers preceded him. Services at the house on Tuesday, Oct. 15, conducted by the brethren, Menno Esch and S. W. Sommers, after which the body was accompanied by his companion and daughter Anna and son Levi to Ortanna, Pa. for burial.

Isaac Kepner, aged 67 years, died On the 22nd of April 1882, near Thompsontown Station, Juniata Co., Pa. The deceased was walking on the railroad track, and the train came up behind him, striking him and throwing him off the track, killing him instantly. Buried in Thompsontown. Services by Wm. and Jacob Graybill.
