Dr. HERTZLER of Juniata Co. PA

Searching for information on the Dr. Hertzler of Juniata Co. PA who married Mary Catherine Sulouff (born 1830 to David ZULAUF>SULOUFF and wife Mary Catharine 'Cassie' (nee) KEPNER). Am trying to contact Hertzler descendants who would consider comparing and exchanging information. I have a great deal of information on the SULOUFF ancestors and I have considerable information on the Hertzlers who lived in Mifflin>Juniata Co.

Here are a couple of paragraphs I have composed about Hertzlers in my book A SULOUFF AND SULOFF FAMILY HISTORY (2001-2003); 801 pages, every-name index, Library Of Congress call number CS71.Z8662001:
Reliable records show that "Mary C. Sulouff" married a Dr. Hertzler in Juniata Co. PA. about 1850, though as yet no firm date has been established for the marriage. The identity of this Dr. Hertzler awaits further research. Prominent Hertzler families were living in the area of Port Royal at the time. Notable among them was Noah Hertzler who operated a Dry Goods business (see 1870 census) and who lived in the Hertzler Mansion pictured in the Juniata County Historical Society's negative film strip entitled "Pictures from 'Illustrated Atlas Of Juniata County PA 1877'" (pictures attriuted to David Shellenberger). It is possible that Noah was brother of the doctor who married Mary Catharine Sulouff. Also, Mary Catharine had a young nephew, Noah Hertzler Sulouff, named after the respected dry goods merchant in town who would have been 58 years of age when Noah Sulouff was born....

"It is thought probable that Dr. Hertzler of Juniata Co. was somehow related to the late William Hertzler, PA Assemblyman 1889-1890; PA Senator 1897-1901; Dept. Secy. of Commonwealth 1911-1915; and U.S. Custodian Of Record Files, House Of Representatives, 1919-1933. William Hertzler died 6/16/1940 and is buried in Westminster Cem., Mifflintown.
